Many of us are aware that it is important to laugh to be successful, progressive and physically fit.
Still, we lack as we forget the importance of a beautiful gift given to us by god.
“If you’re too busy to laugh, you are too busy.”
I am sharing a recent incident which reminds me to laugh.
It all started in a totally different way, but I am glad the outcome was a laughter.
Twilight fell: The sky turned to a light, dusky purple littered with tiny silver stars. It was a cold winter evening, roughly about 6:30 pm, and I was on my way back to home. As I was passing by, I saw my very dear friend Raghu ( the name is changed ) on the road-side.
He was annoyed and literally crying in front of me.
I also realized there is some serious matter.
I asked him, “Raghu, my dear friend, what happened? Why are you crying dear?”
Raghu:“Nothing, leave me alone.”
Me: “No Raghu, tell me what happened? Come on, I’m your best friend.”
I insisted on elaborating and he managed himself to narrate.
“Yesterday!” He kept his sentence incomplete.
“Raghu, now it’s enough, tell me frankly, what happened?” I asked boldly.
Raghu came up with an interesting answer. I was amazed.
“How to express my tragedy? I don’t know “ after saying this begun,
“ Ankhon mei name thee, Vitamin C ki kami thee,
Ankhon mei name thee, Vitamin C ki kami thee,
JIS-SE SARI RAAT CHATING KEE, VO GIRLFRIEND KI MUMMY THEE !”
( In Hindi)
Laughter overloaded (LOL),
It was a joke. Being a stand-up comedian, I connected to a point that how important it is to laugh even when life is not favoring you the way you want it to be.Our life has become fast and demanding that we barely have time for ourselves.
“ A day without laughter is a day wasted “. – Charlie Chaplin
Do you remember?
When was the last time you laughed REALLY, CRAZILY, MADLY and LOUDLY ??
I bet it would have been a long ago.The fact is, as we grow up, we tend to forget some basic fundamental rules of life, thereby making our lives more complex and complicated.Visualize the time when you were an adolescent. It was a great time. Those days will actually remind you that happiness is not outside the world. It is in the moments you laugh and make it memorable.
You can enjoy such life or search moments to laugh anytime, life is not the same but it adds more meaning to what you are doing presently and rejuvenates your entire world. You are the same. You can enjoy each and every moment of a day, week, month, year, life as it has no connection to your growing up.
“You don’t stop laughing because you grow old, You grow old because you stop laughing.”- Michael Pritchard
“LAUGH, because… Laughter creates POSSIBILITIES…
LAUGH, because… LAUGHTER creates JOY…!
LAUGH, because… LAUGHTER creates HAPPINESS…!
LAUGH, because… LAUGHTER connects us DEEPLY…!
LAUGH, because… Laughter keeps us healthy…!
LAUGH, because… Laughter makes us feel good…!
LAUGH, because… Laughter adds joy and zest to our life…!
LAUGH, because… Laughter decreases stress…!
LAUGH, because… Laughter increasesLIFE …!
LAUGH, because… Laughter enhances RESILIENCE…!
LAUGH, because… Laughter improves SELF-ESTEEM…!
LAUGH, because… Laughter increases our SELF-CONFIDENCE …!”
And the list will go on and on and on…
Surprisingly, during my regular shows at Ahmedabad on different occasions, people keep asking me,
“Why do I make people laugh?”
My answer is simple, “Making people laugh and seeing them happy makes me happier, more satisfied and complete.”
I personally believe that life is nothing more than being happy and satisfied.
On the other hand, some people realize it early and act wise in life.
One such person was Mark Twain a famous English author.
Once Mark Twain was asked in school to write an assignment.
The topic was – What they wanted to become when they grow up?
With answers like Doctor, Teacher, Engineer, Lawyer, businessman,
Mark Twain didn’t change his answer.
When his turn came he shared, I have written – Happy and Satisfied.
The teacher told him, “Dear, I think you haven’t understood the assignment properly.”
Mark Twain replied – “Ma’am I think you haven’t understood the life properly .“
Isn’t it true in our lives?
Life is all about to be happy, joyful, laugh crazily and be satisfied.
Once a man asked god, “ God give me EVERYTHING TO ENJOY LIFE “
God smiled and replied, “ My dear I have GIVEN you LIFE TO ENJOY EVERYTHING “
“A smile starts on the lips, a grin spreads to the eyes,
A chuckle comes from the belly,
But a GOOD LAUGH bursts forth from the soul,
Overflows and bubbles all around “- Carolyn Birmingham
If you are yet not convinced then please permit me to stretch up to an amazing incident which once crossed my Reading journey;
“Once upon a time, A wise man sat in the audience and cracked a joke.
For the first time, everyone laughs crazily. After a moment he cracked the same joke, now only a few people laughed. He kept on cracking the same joke again and again, and when there was no laughter in the crowd, he stood up smiled and said,
“ Friends, when you can’t laugh at the same joke again and again, Then why do you keep on crying on the same things over and over again???”
The lesson of life is;
Always, keep smiling, spread smiles, spread happiness, make others happy because we never know when we would have to leave this world.Burry all your worries and keep a smile to move on with faith in your abilities.
“Forget the things that make you sad, remember the moments that make you glad,
Forget the troubles that passed away and ACCEPT the blessings that comes on your way.” – Unknown
Always remember, If you can’t be happy today then I bet you will never be able to be happy in your lifetime.
Because the only time to be happy is RIGHT NOW!
