Today, I am writing this blog for the people who feel that setting goals are also not making them feel happy. Even after they have goals and plans to meet them, they are not able to follow it. They get stuck. Don’t know why, but they are unable to recalibrate. Instead of feeling positive, after listing down the goals, they feel they have created more chaos for themselves because they are not moving or barely moving. Need not worry, Today you will feel motivated after you read my blog.
Like every human being, I had also set up goals and plans whether it is about creating an appealing physique which is only in imagination or writing a book which is difficult or creating a business platform for myself which I can really work upon. What next? Nothing happened.Just nothing. I got frustrated.
How did I come back then?
I cannot just kill my dreams because I had a failure not once but multiple times. A simple theory which I followed helped me to overshadow my failures and I got a glimmer of hope and success.“Live a lifestyle that matches your vision “- Bhagwad Gita. What a great idea!Simple. Powerful line. Same things, same situations, same people including yourself, you will start seeing it with a different eye.
It will be positive, Very positive. Start. (I whispered to myself)
“To believe in your own self, you sound genuine in your approach and correct with your understanding of own thoughts. – Sherry”
System?Have you heard about this word?
We have a system everywhere;
- A restaurant managing various food items for customers has a system.
- A school operating with the K-12 pattern has a system.
- A big temple like Golden temple has a system for food and view of a holy place.
The system is a process.
What is the difference between goals and system?
1.Workout: My goal is to create my physique and have a steady muscle growth reaching 10-12% body fat percentage.
System: I follow daily different muscle exercise system along with structured diet with advanced techniques as per flexibility and comfort.
Result: I will make a shredded muscular body soon.
2.Writing: My goal is to author a book.
System: 4 years back I started sharing my writing on the Facebook page and quote writing on twitter.
Considering I have plans to write a self-help book, Simple mathematics is 10 words per line X 20 lines per page = 200 words per page. A normal self-help book has 130-150 pages which will have around 26,000 – 30,000 words.
Result: I had already written more than 30 self-published blogs with an average of 700 words which will contribute in different ways to author my first book. 700 X 30 = 21,000 words.
3.Business: I want to do something in the field of inspiring people. But why? Because I love doing that.
System: 4 years back I started a group using social media platform (WhatsApp), having a few members.
Meanwhile, I realized public speaking has a connection with training, I switched my job profile from marketing to training. It is not easy.It took genuine efforts to adjust and bear some financial loss as I had to compromise on my salary package but I knew in the end, it will be worth it or probably I will never regret that I haven’t done which I wanted to do (I had been a trainer in my career earlier). I also started interacting with the different psychology of people around, especially youth.I love doing that.
Result: I have been able to connect and inspire more than 30,000 people (about figure) or more, including social media platforms with my regular motivation through inspirational messages, photo quotes, video stories from across the world by different speakers, writers & coaches transforming lives and I started thinking like a one now and working on a business idea related to motivation field only. I have also started live webinars on self-improvement topics.
Recently, I was awarded as a guest of honor at an event for my contribution towards the society (through self-help, inspiration, blogging) by Smile foundation, an NGO based in New Delhi.
“You must be thinking why I am sharing these unfinished things with you?”
I have not accomplished anything in the points. It is all incomplete.
Yes, you are right.
Here is the secret –
My focus is on the system. I am only getting consistent day by day adding to what I can.
Trust me, I am improving. I am not the same as I was when I started all of this.
I am happy as I would not get pessimistic thinking about big goals, writing it down and then not following it like many people do. Since I am committed to a system to meet a goal, I am already in process of achieving it.
“Question: Who can stop me?
Answer: Only me.
Will I allow it to happen? Yes, but only once I finish on what I had started. “
I am not against the concept of having a goal. The goal is important to have a planning in place, a consistent effort through the system is more important to align with whatever goal you wish to achieve. If a goal is met, what next..? Well, I am habitual of a system now!
“You cannot change your destination overnight, but you can change your direction overnight.”
– Jim Rohn
Let us vow to a change, let us do it together.
A goal will keep on changing with your life situations and needs one after the other.
It happens you know (:
But, if we don’t leave the system, we know what we can gain.
