There is a place which we often love to visit. We often stay there for days and we’re quite reluctant to leave. It’s called a ‘comfort zone’. But it’s actually a prison of our own device. We enjoy the stay but we don’t realize what we miss.
Outside the boundaries of this prison is the promised land. If you’ve been there, you wouldn’t appreciate this prison. The prison shall keep expanding its boundaries to keep you imprisoned, as you leave its walls. But that’s a beautiful adventure – leaving your comfort zone.
We don’t require comfort, my friends. Comfort is what is keeping us from realizing our true potentials. We want adventure.
Would Bilbo Baggins the hobbit have ever had a story to write in ‘There And Back Again’ if he hadn’t fallen for the tempting invitation of the wizard, Gandalf the Grey? There would certainly never have been any ‘Lord Of The Rings’ had there been no hobbit leaving Hobbiton.
If you’re like me, you’ve been comfortable for far too long and are now envious of the adventurous ones. Let’s leave Hobbiton, even if it’s for happily-ever-after.
I’d rather slay my dragons than wait for my next warm meal at home. Dragons probably taste better. Probably.
Being the Doctor Strange of our respective fields can only take us so far unless we choose to leave to Kamar-Taj. When we leave this conditioned reality, we’re certain to create our own reality. Our dreams cannot be realized while we’re fulfilling somebody else’s dream.
I’m leaving to find my Kamar-Taj. I hope to see you there someday. Do let’s meet up for some tea. Perhaps, with a bit of honey.
At least we won’t regret finding our way to where we truly belong. A world of our own.
