A small note to all my beautiful friends, who are suffering from depression and deadly negativity in their life. Friends, who have lost the charm of life. Friends, who want to talk to somebody but afraid of judgments on them. You are welcome friends, Come out friends, we are here to talk to you. We are here to understand you.
“If you want to see the light, you have to open your eyes.”
Sometimes we go through that time in life when we feel weak, scared and shattered. This is the time when we can recognize the real potential and realize tolerance limits in us.Darwin gave us a very logical and practical theory -“Survival of the fittest”.
“At times we have to fight and survive against not any person, society or community but our own scared, frail and fragile self.”
In all efforts to feel alive, we try to find something, which makes us feel strong. Something which can shadow our weakness. We search for something which can give us a feel of power, which can make us feel strengthen. One, who fights like crazy with his/her own mind to come out of that darkness, survives and he becomes the real hero of life. The intensity of our efforts in searching that “Something Powerful” is directly proportionate to our victory. As the thirst increases, in that deadly dark, a tiny ray of light emerges. One who could see that, survives. As soon as this tiny light is seen and felt, it grows. As the focus increases, the light grows. It shows the way to conquer the dark. It strength the mind, the power, the sole doer.
I saw that little, blurred light once, realized that was the last option available to me. I fought with the dreadful dark. It did not let me go out so easily. But I knew, I was a fighter plane. I was not born a weak soul. I focused, I let the light grew more and more. I struggled to embrace that brightness. And I won. The battle was not easy. The battleground was inside me. I did not want to blame myself for losing this battle. In fact, there was no chance to loose. I was stubborn, I focused, I fought, and I won. I am a proud winner. I won myself. I gained my self-respect in my own eyes. I won the deadliest war of my life. Now I have become strong, that nothing can shake my faith in myself. (A terrific journey of a fighter & survivor from deep down depressing negativity, soiled with alcoholism to a headstrong person with deeply in love with every moment and each person of life and a passionate bike rider today.). This battle taught me a lesson:-
“There is no weapon in this universe which is stronger than your “will power”, and no weapon can snatch this power of yours.”
-Talk to mind, he is ruling you. Deny his orders. Be a rebel not with the people, but with own mind. For instance, if he wants to read anything about death, do not obey him. Read about beautiful places, read about successful stories, if he wants to listen to sad songs, say a big NO to him and listen to some rocking music etc.
-Read and see which shake your mind and give a feel of strength. Read about people’s achievement and train mind to believe “if they can, why can’t I.” (My bike riding started from here only. It gave me altogether a different life to live)
-Stare at nature. Believe me, it talks to us. Feel the breeze, the dancing trees, rivers, drench in rain. Dance in rain. Close the eyes and embrace the nature.
-Look at old photos of yours, family, family functions, see yourself laughing. Remembers all good and cherishing moments, you spent. Hey see….you are smiling buddy.
-Don’t be alone. Meet your parents and childhood friends. Talk about your childhood memories. Family and friends (not colleagues) are best healers.
-Do meditation and yoga asana and observe your breaths. Concentrate your energy. It seems difficult initially, but believe me, this is the most effective way to take control of the mind. (It is still the most important part of my life)
-Keep your living area clean and organized. It works…I bet.
We all have a story. My friends in dark, you are put here to wake up the fighter, slept in you. Believe yourself. Remember those early days when you fell down from the cycle, you were hurt, you were crying but you did not give up, you got up, and tried again. You learned so many new things in life. Remember your thunderous laughter with friends. Those friends want you back. Remember, how your mother waited for you till late nights just to confirm that you were alright. Remember your father’s love hidden in his heart and expressed from his eyes. You are precious to them.
Fight with your darkness. Be the real “YOU”. Try to see that light of your life, there is something, which is waiting for you. You are put in the well to come out with refreshing brightness. Don’t lose yourself. You are special. You are far more capable of handling pain than others, you are beautiful, you are strong and powerful to lead an exemplary life.
“BE STUBBORN, BE FOCUSED, BE A FIGHTER AND BE A WINNER.”
YOU ARE THE DIRECTOR OF YOUR STORY. RE-WRITE THE STORY. THIS IS NOT YOUR END. CHANGE IT. YOU ARE NOT DESTINED TO LIVE A STINKING LIFE. YOU ARE A SUNSHINE. COME OUT…COME OUT…THAT GOLDEN SHINE IS WAITING FOR YOU STRETCHING ITS ARMS. THAT IS YOUR LIFE. COME OUT….COME OUT.
